Simple Greek Salad Recipe
Vegetable Prep:
- Slice White Onion Horizontally in the shape of crescents
- Slice Bell Peppers
- Slice Cucumber in half and into crescents
- Slice whole tomato
- Chiffonade the mint (cut the mint into long, thin strips using a rolling technique of the herb)
Greek Salad Ingredients:
1/2 Small White Onion
1 Medium Red Bell Pepper
1/2 Large Cucumber
1 Large Room Temperature Tomato
1 Bunch of Mint
4 Kalamata Olives
1 Slice Greek Cheese (Feta)
Olive Oil
Red Wine Vinegar
Mix everything together, top with feta, Kalamata Olives and enjoy xo
Dressing Prep:
- 2 to 1 ratio 2 portions of vinegar 1 portion of olive oil
- 4 Tbsp Olive Oil (1/4th cup)
- 8 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar (1/2 cup)
You can change the ratios around depending if you like it to taste more savoury or more acidic. More olive oil if savoury. More vinegar if acidic. Then the ratio would be 2 olive oil 1 vinegar. Or if you like equal parts 1:1 ratio. Recipes are designed to help you get a great finished product. But ultimately you are the chef, you must also do what makes your taste buds happy.
